Intipalka Syrah
Intipalka Syrah is an expressive red wine grown deep in Peru’s Ica Valley, where warm days, cool nights, and mineral-rich soils combine to yield grapes of intensity and depth. Crafted from 100% Syrah, this wine captures the bold fruit and textural character of its high-sun and dry-climate origins. Hand-harvested and carefully vinified, the wine receives attentive treatment in stainless steel (and in some cases neutral oak) to preserve fresh fruit expression and maintain balance. The result is a Syrah with power, freshness, and clarity—offering both everyday appeal and a distinct sense of place.
Tasting Notes
Color: Dense ruby with violet reflections.
Aroma: Ripe red and black fruit (raspberry, blackberry), complemented by notes of sweet spice, pepper, and a hint of earth or ash.
Palate: Medium-to-full body with plush fruit, firm but refined tannins, a lively acid backbone, and a subtle mineral streak that underscores the Ica terroir.
Finish: Long, with dark fruit, soft spice and a fresh saline lift.
Food Pairing Recommendations
This Syrah pairs beautifully with robust and flavorful fare:
Grilled flank steak or lamb with chimichurri or herb rubs
Braised beef cheeks or stews with smoky elements
Aged cheeses such as cheddar or Manchego with dried figs
Hearty pasta dishes with tomato-based sauces or grilled vegetables
Serve at approximately 16–18 °C (60–64 °F) and let it sit for a few minutes after opening to reveal its full aromatic profile.
