Intipalka Syrah

Intipalka Syrah is an expressive red wine grown deep in Peru’s Ica Valley, where warm days, cool nights, and mineral-rich soils combine to yield grapes of intensity and depth. Crafted from 100% Syrah, this wine captures the bold fruit and textural character of its high-sun and dry-climate origins. Hand-harvested and carefully vinified, the wine receives attentive treatment in stainless steel (and in some cases neutral oak) to preserve fresh fruit expression and maintain balance. The result is a Syrah with power, freshness, and clarity—offering both everyday appeal and a distinct sense of place.

Tasting Notes

  • Color: Dense ruby with violet reflections.

  • Aroma: Ripe red and black fruit (raspberry, blackberry), complemented by notes of sweet spice, pepper, and a hint of earth or ash.

  • Palate: Medium-to-full body with plush fruit, firm but refined tannins, a lively acid backbone, and a subtle mineral streak that underscores the Ica terroir.

  • Finish: Long, with dark fruit, soft spice and a fresh saline lift.

Food Pairing Recommendations

This Syrah pairs beautifully with robust and flavorful fare:

  • Grilled flank steak or lamb with chimichurri or herb rubs

  • Braised beef cheeks or stews with smoky elements

  • Aged cheeses such as cheddar or Manchego with dried figs

  • Hearty pasta dishes with tomato-based sauces or grilled vegetables

Serve at approximately 16–18 °C (60–64 °F) and let it sit for a few minutes after opening to reveal its full aromatic profile.
